Labor Day Pains
Labor Day has a few different definitions. For school-aged children it usually marks the beginning of the school year, for those of us working it’s a nice three day holiday when the weather is still warm, but most importantly it means it’s time to put away your whites. White dresses, pants, jeans, all go the way of my guest bedroom closet not to be seen again until Easter. This year I’m trying to extend the life span of some key pieces.
Adding a blazer to any outfit automatically helps transition it to cooler weather. Every closet needs a well tailored blazer, perhaps even two (black and navy are my preferences). A blazer and black necklace help transition this floral skirt to fall. I’d pair the outfit with some grey suede booties or maybe my new studded heels if I’m feeling adventurous.
